NICHOLAS ALLAN

Nicholas Allan is an 'APA' Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist' and has worked extensively with private practice clients with back, neck, pelvis, hip and shoulder complaints since 1994. Most recently he was the sole Team Physiotherapist for the Australian Team at the Coastal Village for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi servicing skating sports. He has also done extensive travel with the Australian Speed Skating and Skier X Teams for World Cup Events. His other sports physiotherapy experience includes working with elite athletes from many different sports including AFL, Rugby Union, Athletics, Triathlon and working at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Nic's special interests include running Pilates training courses, workshops and presenting at international conferences. Since 2004 Nic has been a Principle Educator for Polestar Pilates International in Australia, NZ, Europe, Asia and Nth America.

Nic also works part time at Mt Hotham ski school (instructing in both alpine L3 and telemark L2) and also holds current avalanche and ski guiding certifications. Whilst living in Canada he enjoyed social curling and supporting the Canucks Ice Hockey Team. Nic also has spent much time climbing, running, cycling, surfing and still plays water polo with his original team (he now has 20+ years playing with Monash University since starting playing with them in 1986).

He is currently loving spending time with his daughter, Sierra, that he and his wife Cathy had in December 2013.

CATHY DERHAM

Cathy Derham is an 'APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist' and Polestar Pilates Certified Rehab Pilates Instructor. Cathy has worked in both private and hospital settings in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. She has extensive sports physiotherapy experience including involvement at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. Cathy has also consulted with OWI world cup ski cross, state hockey and state netball teams.

Cathy's special interests include traumatic and biomechanical knee conditions, lumbo-pelvic dysfunction, neck conditions, and Womens Health. Cathy is also engaged in research on the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine, School of Health Sciences at The University of Melbourne

Cathy is an avid skier and snowboarder and works part time at Mount Hotham Snowsports School. Cathy is a fitness junkie and loves running and all sports, and most recently spending time with her daughter, Sierra, that she had with husband Nic in December 2013.
